I work relationally with my clients, placing the therapeutic relationship at the heart of the counselling process. This means that we explore thoughts, feelings and patterns together in a collaborative and supportive space. As an integrative counsellor, I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches rather than following a single model, tailoring interventions to each client’s needs and preferences. For example, I will draw on attachment theory to help clients understand how early relationships and experiences may influence their current emotions, behaviours and connections with others. When appropriate, I provide gentle psychoeducation, explaining concepts, theories and strategies in a way that empowers clients to make sense of their experiences and develop practical tools for change. Working collaboratively and flexibly is important to me and I do my best to meet peoples needs around availablilty, which may vary week to week. I accept clients looking for bi-weekly sessions as well as ad-hoc sessions, if I have free spaces. There is no requirement to have a set amount of sessions.
